The ECU 032 is a media adapter designed for the SCU 810 communication unit, providing up to 32 serial ports for connecting control units, protection relays, and other IEDs. It links to the SCU 810 via a DB-37 data cable and can be expanded with a second ECU 032 for a total of 64 communication channels.

Built for rack mounting, the ECU 032 features rear-mounted ports (optical or electrical, depending on the version) and front LED indicators for transmit/receive activity on each channel.
