Photovoltaic: String inverter System
The main purpose of the protection on a.c. side is the protection of cables and installations between PV smart string inverter and the transformer station. Fuse-links have to be designed for uninterruptible operation in case of short-time overloads which could become a consequence of higher temperatures and the peak of power generation.
